Obama s first day
During the first full day in office, President Barack Obama has discovered the difference between the head of an organized campaign and the management of the White House a large bureaucracy.
Obama has left the direction of master for the first morning, after a prayer at the National Cathedral, e-mails to the press left without staff or returned to the sender, the phone numbers in the press office issued signals and has held some participants. The day of programming for the president had not been resolved.
Obama set high expectations for the beginning of his administration. The president repeatedly praised the transition from assistance he received from his predecessor, George W. Bush. He made a point to name his cabinet within weeks of his election and promised to “strike at the launch” after the inauguration.
“I am a little surprised, I thought these people were going to be a little further,” said Stephen Hess, a presidential historian, who was a staff member of the White House, Richard Nixon, the first day in office in 1969.
