Intel science talent search
On Wednesday, January 14, Intel Corporation, will announce the names of 300 high school students chosen as the 2009 Intel Science Talent Search – with an average of more than 1,600 entries at the national level. This event has always received much coverage in the media, and is considered by many as the “Nobel Prize” of high school science.
Students of the school district Melville have achieved a high level of recognition, the highest in the country last year with 13 successful applicants. This is the highest number a school has ever had.
The sad reality is that loosing 1300 students are not recognized in by Intel and have worked hard, sacrificing their weekends, holidays and vacations to conduct a major research effort at a very early stage of his life, a remarkable feat to all those who enter, a landmark now for 17 years.
