Super Mario has been dethroned as the long time best selling computer and console game, after 20 long years on top of the best seller list, not without its challenges though …. and who or what game beat it ?
Nintendo’ own game Wii Sports has passed the previous record holder (Super Mario), although the achievement has been achieved with the bundled “Game & Console” sales package – the Wii Sports game has been sold with the basic Wii Console outside of Korea and Japan.
Super Mario was also bundled with the NES for many years and that also led to the boost in sales ….
Super Mario 3 is the highest selling game of all time – out side of the console and game bundled packages.
